Today marked my first day back at school after a never-been-heard-before 2-week Spring Break. I flew home to California for the break – which didn’t bode well for my skin but it felt really good to be home, considering the next time I’ll be going home is sometime in August. It started off pretty bumpy (found out my flight was canceled after I arrived at the airport and had already paid for the 65$ shuttle ride) but I was so thankful to have gotten home eventually, to see friends and to shop!
First off, I got myself some new clothes – mainly because realized I wanted a few more “sophisticated” looking pieces. I just got a part-time job in an office so I figured I needed to dress in more than just jeans and t-shirts.

I purchased these items from Crossroads, a chain thrift store in California (might be in other states too). From the left to right:
1. Navy blue cardigan (Forever21) – $7.50
2. Navy blue striped vest – $10
3. Khaki long-sleeve button up – $8.50
4. Over-sized dark gray sweater – $10 (I lied, this was actually from H&M!)

From the left to right:
1. Sheer loose white top – $5 from Old Navy
2. Calvin Klein pants – $20 from Marshall’s

I actually didn’t buy these, my mom bought them for me as a birthday gift. From left to right:
1. Gray cashmere cardigan
2. Brown cashmere long-sleeved shirt
3. Dark gray cardigan
My mom’s really into this cashmere thing because she’s convinced it’s the only thing that can keep me warm on the East Coast. She buys these either at Marshall’s or Ross on sale though, so each piece is generally only about $20 or less.

This is the first Coach item I’ve ever owned and the first Coach item that I’ve ever bought for myself. I bought this at a Coach outlet store for $19.
I also bought a ton of new shoes, something I rarely ever do because it’s really hard to buy shoes that fit. I have pretty wide feet and my feet are different sizes. My left foot is a size 6 – 6.5 while my right foot is a 6.5 – 7.

From left to right:
1. New Balance Tone Up running shoes – $20 at Marshall’s
2. Flip flops – $1.50 @ Old Navy

From left to right:
1. Blue high tops – $14.95 at H&M
2. Army print converse sneakers – $15 at FamousFootwear

I also got these at FamousFootwear for $20. They are sort of too big for my left foot but are very comfortable. The heel isn’t very high, maybe 1 – 1.5 inches. I figured these would be nice to have if I ever need to dress super nice for work or if I ever have a formal interview, etc.
That’s all for now!
